Master of Divinity (MDiv)

Your pathway to meaningful ministry starts here. BST’s Master of Divinity prepares you for ordination and equips you with the practical skills, theological depth, and hands-on experience you need to thrive in church leadership, chaplaincy, or specialized ministry roles.

Choose from four thematic concentrations—Creative Church & Community, Spirituality & Resilience, Justice & Reconciliation, or Border Crossing & Bridge Building—and customize your learning to match your calling. With access to world-class resources from the Graduate Theological Union and UC Berkeley, you’ll build a strong theological foundation while gaining real-world ministry experience.

MASTER OF COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP (MCL)

Become a powerful leader for positive change. BST’s Master of Community Leadership equips you with the real-world skills and ethical foundation to tackle complex social challenges and lead impactful change in your community—whether in nonprofits, community organizing, or faith-based settings.

Choose from four thematic concentrations and gain hands-on experience through a two-semester internship. You’ll master effective communication, develop intercultural competency, and strengthen ethical decision-making while building the practical skills needed to inspire change and foster resilient, inclusive communities.

Master of Theological Studies

Deepen your understanding and expand your impact with BST’s 100% online Master of Theological Studies. This flexible program allows you to explore your theological passions—from race relations and gender studies to public theology and intercultural studies—and prepare for specialized ministry, community engagement, or further academic pursuits.

Complete the 36-unit program entirely online in as little as 18 months, fitting your education into your life on your schedule. Current MDiv and MCL students can add just one more year of study to earn a second master’s degree, expanding your expertise and career opportunities. With the option to take courses on campus if you prefer, the MTS is our most adaptable graduate degree, designed to meet your individual needs and goals.
