Berkeley School of Theology’s Center for Truth, Racial Healing, & Restorative Justice invites you to attend the 2026 Fall Lecture, “Equality Rooted in Shared Identity and Vulnerability” with Rev. Dr. Don Ng, the first Asian American President of the American Baptist Churches, USA (2014–15). Don led First Chinese Baptist Church in San Francisco for 17 years before retiring in 2015 and continues serving on numerous denominational and ecumenical boards.

Beyond his pastoral and denominational leadership, Rev. Dr. Don Ng remains active in ministry, currently serving as Interim Pastor of Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church, Vice-Chair of the American Baptist Foundation, and on the Advisory Council of Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School. He previously served as Trustee of Berkeley School of Theology and on the board of the American Baptist Home Mission Societies. A graduate of Gordon College and Andover Newton Theological School, he holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity and has authored several publications, including Asian Pacific American Youth Ministry.
