Description

We are looking for a pastor who will communicate the content of the Christian faith through preaching and teaching, administer the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, provide spiritual care to church members and other attenders, and generally oversee the life and ministry of the church.

In a survey,  members of the congregation prioritized their expectation of the pastor as follows:

Primary:
Interpreting the faith, Interchurch cooperation, Pastoral care, Preaching

Secondary:
Education, Conflict management, Cross-cultural involvement/mission, Ministry of laity development

Additional Details

Progressive congregation, active in Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches, is looking for a full-time pastor.  Though small (worship attendance about 40), the church is deeply engaged in ministry, including partnership where possible with Karen and Kachin congregations who also use our building.  PLCC’s total annual budget is about $200K.  In addition to compensation, church provides pastor with benefits and reimbursement of professional expenses.  Besides the Pastor, the church currently has three employees (all part-time): a secretary, a bookkeeper, and a youth director.
